![]() The Helm - Located in the front right corner of the room, the Helm allows players to pilot the Kosatka. The Bridge: This is the primary control room of the Kosatka submarine. The Kosatka's interior layout is very similar to the Ramius, a submarine featured in The Doomsday Heist. When submerging and surfacing, a unique dive alarm is heard. Inlet valves for the ballast system can be seen under the aft section of the boat.Īn access door is at the front of the sail and there are access hatches just forward of the sail and aft of the hump. The hump section tapers down to the tail where stabilizing fins and the twin seven-fin propellers can be seen. Similar underside plating indicates the entry point for the submersible Moon Pool bays. Plating sections on the hull forward of the missile tubes are indicative of the Moon Pool helicopter entrance hatch. Eight permanently open missile tubes are present in two rows of four. ![]() This houses the interior Moon Pool and Guided missile systems. Immediately aft of the sail, a raised rectangular "hump" extends for approximately one third of the length of the sub. A light and mast are atop the sail, with the former able to be toggled on or off when submerged. The player's flag is repeated on the side of the sail along with a prominent 81 numeric stencil. This is marked at the front with a Russian heraldic shield featuring a two-headed-eagle, 1896, the Russian naval ensign, a five-pointed star and the Ф Cryllic character. A vertical sail (incorrectly referred to in game as a Conning tower ) with horizontal diving planes is located a quarter of the length back from the bow of the vessel. The bow is spherical with a player-selected flag marked in the center, just below the surfaced waterline. The vessel is a large cylindrical Teardrop hulled submarine with a length exceeding that of the Galaxy Super Yacht. There will also be some of the gang at the end of East Vinewood source with the same cars, although they remain stationary. The submarine takes design cues from the Russian Kelmar and Delfin Delta-class submarines and the Chinese Type 094 submarines. The race ends at the beginning of the East Vinewood source. It is also used by Trevor, Franklin Clinton, and Lamar Davis to escape the oncoming Ballas in the mission Hood Safari.Īt night, there is a non-interactive Marabunta Grande street race that starts at the storm drain's intersection between Murrieta Heights source and the East Vinewood source, involving Benefactor Suranos, Bravado Gauntlets and Dewbauchee Rapid GTs. Later on, Michael and Trevor Philips are lead on a car chase through the canal while they attempt to catch Lazlow Jones. In GTA V, the canal plays a large role in the game, where it is used by Michael De Santa and his crew to escape the police during the Jewel Store Heist. The smaller canal probably gets its water from stormwater and sewage pipes with the main one seen at La Puerta.Ī pre-release screenshot of the storm drain in GTA V. There is a second storm drain also referred to as the Los Santos Storm Drain. The smaller storm drain canal has no natural source and flows from the Port just west of the main river mouth, in a southeast-northwest direction between La Puerta and South Los Santos parallel to Grove Street before ending in Vespucci, where it flows directly out into the Pacific Ocean. The creek forms a small pool and flows through flood control gate structures into concrete channels. There are several maintenance crews here along with several pieces of flood control machinery. It flows in a northeast-southwest direction to its confluence point with the main river. ![]() The small creek forms at the southern edge of the Tatavian Mountains in front of an overpass of the Palomino Freeway. The secondary river that joins at La Mesa has its own source in Murrieta Heights. The water begins to go deeper at the elevation near Cypress Flats but up to that point most vehicles can still comfortably drive in the water without failing. The canal features more access tunnels and is much longer and more detailed. It flows north-south through East Vinewood, past Downtown Los Santos by Textile City, forms the border between South Los Santos and East Los Santos where it merges at La Mesa with a second unnamed river that has its own source to the east and from there it flows into the Pacific Ocean at the Port of Los Santos between Cypress Flats and Elysian Island. The LS River is very large in comparison to its predecessor. From there on, it is contained entirely within concrete canals. The river is dammed at the Land Act Dam to form the reservoir and then flows down the mountain to the source of the canal structure in East Vinewood. Like the Los Angeles River upon which it is based, the LS River starts off as a natural water feature from its origins in the Tatavian Mountains to the north of the Land Act Reservoir.
